By 2022, it is projected that New York State will have a shortage of 10,000 teachers. To help address the deficit, two èצӰ professors have been tasked with building and enhancing the high school physics teacher education program.
During the summer, èצӰ students are applying their liberal arts know-how in a variety of real-world settings. Microbiology major Rebecca Gowen ’19, from Philadelphia, Pa., describes her summer research, conducted through the Beckman Scholars Program.
Assistant Professor of Geology Joe Levy planned a two-and-a-half week geology road trip helping frame the Earth’s geological history in a manner impossible to replicate in a classroom.
